I didn’t come up through film. I came up through teaching and technology, which is exactly why I’m good at this. I built a computer lab from scratch and taught video game design. I trained teachers on new software, and I wrote the sales-training curriculum that got people actually using the systems I deployed. I worked at Apple. I learned early that the hardest part of any technology is the part where a human has to understand it.
Then I went to film school, an MFA in Visual Development and Production from Academy of Art University, and moved into production: Assistant Director on ABC’s Martin Luther King Day Parade, Associate Producer on live event and esports productions, before founding Lucieer Entertainment.
Today I produce brand films, investor videos, docuseries, music videos, and scripted work. When Startup Science needed to raise capital, their script ran over seven minutes. I restructured it to 3:19, performed the voiceover myself, composed the music, and delivered a compliance-approved film the founder used to open the raise. That’s the work: not making something look good, but making it do something.
I also build with AI, as a production tool, not a novelty. Generative image and video pipelines, model training, a portrait studio. Because I came up as a creative producer, I know the difference between a tool that looks impressive and one that serves the story.
I’ve produced four award-winning short films, and I don’t just produce them, I make them. On Spirit Traveler I created all the artwork and motion graphics and cut the final edit. On Ocean Wings I was prop master and worked in the edit. On Circle I did the voice work and worked in the edit. I was creative producer on all four, and Debt Valley took Best Producer at Bridge Fest Vancouver.
With author and mystic Sonja Grace, I co-wrote The Adventures of Spirit Traveler: Osiris and the Underworld, a semifinalist in the Creative Screenwriting Animation Screenplay Competition, and we’re developing it as a franchise across animation, film, comics, and podcast. It was one of twenty projects selected by Largo.ai from a catalog of more than 500,000, and invited to AFM 2025 on that basis.
And I still love the moment when someone finally gets it.
