Synopsis:

“The Adventures of Spirit Traveler: The Ericksons” follows archaeologists Talula and Leif Erickson, who are thrust into a dangerous expedition in Peru after uncovering an ancient stone. Their journey is complicated by shapeshifting jaguar priests, who are revealed to be witches from a past century attempting to alter history and extend the rule of their leader, the resurrected Inca king Pachacuti.

As Talula and Leif navigate the treacherous jungle and ancient Incan sites, they discover a deep conspiracy surrounding the “Eye of the Serpent,” a sacred green stone that records the history of the Peruvian people. They are aided by their guide, Miles, who is secretly working for the CIA, and by spiritual interventions from Talula’s deceased relatives and ancient deities, including the Great Serpent Kukulacan (also known as Jormungandr).

Meanwhile, in London, Talula’s sister, Christine, a researcher with clairvoyant abilities, uncovers the true nature of the Eye of the Serpent and the jaguar priests through her own interactions with ancestral spirits, including her great uncle Thomas and Queen Margaret of Scotland. Christine attempts to intervene in Peru, accidentally time-traveling to the 15th century and learning crucial information about Pachacuti’s plot.

The narrative intensifies as Talula realizes she is pregnant with a daughter, Olivia, who possesses the ability to communicate and time-travel from the future, warning her parents about the impending “war for history.” The Ericksons, with the help of the elder council of Cusco and their spiritual allies, confront Pachacuti and his stone army, ultimately thwarting his plans to manipulate history and bind the evil forces.

Talula is chosen as the keeper of the Eye of the Serpent, accepting the responsibility to protect its power and the history it holds. The book concludes with the birth of Olivia and the looming presence of Osiris, God of the Underworld, hinting at future adventures and Olivia’s significant role as a “Spirit Traveler.”
